June blog entries
I had some stitching to take a picture of today, but I delayed until it got too dark, so that can wait till tomorrow, but in the meantime you can enjoy a few of my spring pictures I've taken around here:

I'm declaring June blog month in an effort to get back to being a better blogger! I've been very, very lazy lately. The plan is to make an entry everyday for this month. I've already missed one day, so I will just add on the first day of July. You are all feel free to join me!
I'm going to have to work a little to find something to talk about though! I don't know how interesting it is to get a daily report of my project pictures, lol. I'm going to find some stitchy things to talk about in any case. I'll probably be scouting out some good blogs to direct you to, and I'll post some of my outdoor pictures too.
That's my new stuff I got yesterday. I got two pieces of 32ct lugana, 1 piece of needlepoint canvas, two packs of black beads in different sizes, some fusible webbing, two new hoops - the larger one is 12"!, and 4 skeins of floss. I only got a few flosses this time, more next time. I can't really think of much else that can compete with floss for the most fun in purchasing!

This was a quick project for me. It took a few nights to stitch. It was fun to do. I was reminded while cleaning off the ink that Threadworx flosses are not color-fast. A little bit ran onto the fabric, but it isn't so noticeable. I have to try remembering that for the future.
I've been thinking about taking some pictures of some stitching I did when I was very young, but I've been very lazy about it. I finally have though! I dug out two pieces I stitced. The first was a project my sister started but abandoned. I took it over. I must have been around 10. The finish date was 9/81:

The second one I was a couple years older. I didn't date it, so I can't say the exact year. Maybe I was 12-13 or so.
These were both stamped cross stitch. There are a few more smaller projects I have around here, so there may be more pictures soon.

I missed yesterday! But I ended up busy most of the day. Mr. Floss Box's mom came over to look at her new site. She ended up staying here, so I showed her ALL my embroideries, hehe. She liked them. It's always fun to show them to someone who appreciates the work. Then we took a 2hr hike around the lake. She was still waiting for her ride, so we cleaned and rearranged my kitchen - it needed help really badly. I was exhausted after all that, so not much stitchy stuff happened. I did manage to finish the next biscornu, however.

And stitched together:

I really like this one. The deer is so cute. I'll be starting another one later today.

I've fallen off the blogging wagon. I will keep trying lol. So darn lazy sometimes. Well, I do have my cakes stitched now. I got this idea for making a little wall hanging for the kitchen to go with my other embroideries hanging in there the other day. I will get a picture of them all together when this one is ready. I have the perfect fabric to use for the borders for these cakes. I'm hoping to get it all put together today, but I had better get going on it. I'm pondering more food-related projects now, they are just so fun.

I finished that the other night into a little wall hanging. The fabric is fitting, or so I thought. Now I have hung it up with the other foodie wall-hangings in the kitchen:
I have one more foodie-themed project that maybe ought to be sewn into a wall hanging too. Might as well make a collection of them!

Yet another biscornu is completed!

And here are the two halves before being stitched together:

The top picture is a bit truer to the actual colors. I've been super slow starting something new. I wasn't quite sure what to work on - other than the next biscornu, lol. I've already printed out the robots biscornu. Robots are definitely not standard cross stitch material, so it should be fun. I'll be working on a new embroidery project too, but it isn't quite ready to start.
