Welcome to The Floss Box blog!
I have been looking for other ideas of what to do with biscornu-style designs other than sew them into biscornus. I have found one thing so far: a zigouigoui. I sewed one of the biscornu designs I stitched a while back into one:

I took another picture of it on the side.

I thought this was a good design to do this with. I may try another one and write my own instructions for them. The ones I used were in French.
It's taken me awhile to get going, but I finally have my ideas for the hand embroidery exhibition worked out (there is still time to sign up!). Now I'm working making the patterns on the computer. I don't know how long they will take to stitch, but I'm leaving lots of time!

Yet another biscornu is completed!

And here are the two halves before being stitched together:

The top picture is a bit truer to the actual colors. I've been super slow starting something new. I wasn't quite sure what to work on - other than the next biscornu, lol. I've already printed out the robots biscornu. Robots are definitely not standard cross stitch material, so it should be fun. I'll be working on a new embroidery project too, but it isn't quite ready to start.

I finished that the other night into a little wall hanging. The fabric is fitting, or so I thought. Now I have hung it up with the other foodie wall-hangings in the kitchen:
I have one more foodie-themed project that maybe ought to be sewn into a wall hanging too. Might as well make a collection of them!

I've fallen off the blogging wagon. I will keep trying lol. So darn lazy sometimes. Well, I do have my cakes stitched now. I got this idea for making a little wall hanging for the kitchen to go with my other embroideries hanging in there the other day. I will get a picture of them all together when this one is ready. I have the perfect fabric to use for the borders for these cakes. I'm hoping to get it all put together today, but I had better get going on it. I'm pondering more food-related projects now, they are just so fun.

I missed yesterday! But I ended up busy most of the day. Mr. Floss Box's mom came over to look at her new site. She ended up staying here, so I showed her ALL my embroideries, hehe. She liked them. It's always fun to show them to someone who appreciates the work. Then we took a 2hr hike around the lake. She was still waiting for her ride, so we cleaned and rearranged my kitchen - it needed help really badly. I was exhausted after all that, so not much stitchy stuff happened. I did manage to finish the next biscornu, however.

And stitched together:

I really like this one. The deer is so cute. I'll be starting another one later today.

I've been thinking about taking some pictures of some stitching I did when I was very young, but I've been very lazy about it. I finally have though! I dug out two pieces I stitced. The first was a project my sister started but abandoned. I took it over. I must have been around 10. The finish date was 9/81:

The second one I was a couple years older. I didn't date it, so I can't say the exact year. Maybe I was 12-13 or so.
These were both stamped cross stitch. There are a few more smaller projects I have around here, so there may be more pictures soon.
